Following the incredible success of our 2023 and 2024 clinics, we’re thrilled to bring you an even bigger and more inspiring event in 2025! In collaboration with the Swedish Icelandic Horse National Team, we invite you to two days of growth, inspiration, and a one time opportunity training at Flyinge Kungsgård on January 24-25.
An International Event Like No Other
This year, we’re going fully international, with all sessions conducted in English, and an extraordinary lineup of trainers known for their depth, experience, and innovative techniques. You’ll learn from Sara Sigurbjörnsdóttir, reigning world champion in five-gait; Steinar Sigurbjörnsson, the visionary founder of “Equanimity”; and Claus Toftgaard, physiotherapist and former Grand Prix rider. Together, they’ll guide you through fresh perspectives and advanced training methods, designed with the competitive and active riding horse in mind.
Exciting Highlights You Don’t Want to Miss
The excitement kicks off on Friday at 4 p.m. with an open training session in our large arena, where 10 national team riders will be coached by Sara, Steinar, and Claus. Then, on Saturday afternoon, we’ll host the main clinic, a dynamic experience open to all. This unique two-day format offers you exclusive access to follow the riders’ progress and see expert coaching in action.

Sara Sigurbjörnsdóttir
Sara Sigurbjörnsdóttir is an accomplished Icelandic equestrian known for her expertise in riding Icelandic horses. She has gained recognition for her participation in top-level competitions, earning a reputation as a skilled and graceful rider with a deep passion for horse training.
Sara continues to inspire both in Iceland and internationally with her riding skills and achievements.
In the 2023 World Championships for Icelandic Horses, Sara secured victory in the five-gait (F1) category. Riding the family-bred Flóki frá Oddhóli, she triumphed with a total score of 7.90 points, highlighted by impressive 8.5s for the pace, demonstrating her exceptional performance on the world stage.
Steinar Sigurbjörnsson
Steinar Sigurbjornsson, a graduate of Hólar University, is an
accomplished equestrian professional known for his profound
knowledge and dedication to horse training. As a teacher at Hólar and a sought-after instructor worldwide, he conducts transformative clinics and seminars.
Steinar’s passion lies in rehabilitation and understanding the horse’s nervous system. Teaching with creativity and has a flare for versatility for every unique individual situation. Through positive reinforcement he empowers horses to be proud through posture, self-confidence and to be brilliant in their movements. With a focus on adaptability, longevity, and freedom in movement through play, Steinar unlocks the true capacity of each horse.
Claus Toftgaard
Claus Toftgaard is a renowned Danish horse trainer and expert in biomechanics, recognized for his expertise in equine movement and rider posture. As a physiotherapist for both horses and humans, Claus has leveraged his knowledge to enhance performance and improve health. Having collaborated with top riders and trainers across various disciplines, Claus shares his knowledge through international clinics. His love for dressage and dedication to horse welfare and keen eye for detail have earned him respect for blending science with practical training. His areas of special expertise include rider’s analysis, physical training for riders, and movement analysis for horses and horse training with play and Equanimity.
Swedish National Team
The Swedish National Team has been in the world top 3 for over a decade. This summer they won the prestigious ”Best Nation” at the Nordic Championship in Denmark, for the fourth time. These amazing riders, starting at just 13 years of age, work super hard together with their horses all year to ensure a place in the team. About the Venue
The clinic will be held at the historic Flyinge Kungsgård in the expansive riding hall, which can accommodate up to 1600 participants.
Horse breeding activities have been carried out at Flyinge since the 12th century, and today, the echoes of history meet modern horse management and high-class equestrian events.
